Scrutinising the Greens
The formal alliance signed by Julia Gillard and Bob Brown after the 2010 election set a historic precedent for Australia, with the Greens imposing their authority over the national agenda and the minority Labor Government.
At a national level, I have scrutinised the rank hypocrisy of the Greens since I entered the Senate in 2008. By putting the spotlight on the Greens in the lead-up to the Victorian State Election in 2010, voters were able to properly scrutinise their policies and had their voices heard at the polling booth.
